ANZAC DAY
Early on Anzac Day, I had the honour of attending the Anzac Dawn Service at The Arbour (Heathcote RSL) alongside our school leaders. Our captains, vice-captains, and prefects proudly represented HEPS, laying a wreath on behalf of the school with great respect. I sincerely thank their parents for bringing them to the service, as well as all other students and families who attended. It was a meaningful and dignified way for our school community to come together to honour those who have served our country in various conflicts.
Mother's Day
A huge thank you to Erin and the P&C fundraising team who have run our Mother’s Day stall today. Thanks also to those who donated gifts. I’m sure there will be lots of very happy mums, grandmothers and mother figures on Sunday!
ANZAC Service
Early in Term 2 our students and staff paid tribute to the sacrifices made by our soldiers during our Anzac Service.
We were honoured to have Mr Trevor Phease, President of Heathcote RSL sub branch, attend and speak at the service.
Special mention to Til Gartside, one of our parents, for attending the service in her army uniform and engaging with the highly interested students about her army work.
"We love our school for its supportive community and commitment to every student’s success. Our child feels safe and inspired every day.” — a parent of Heathcote East Public School
