WHEN IS THE CANTEEN OPEN?
Canteen days are dependent on demand and on volunteer availability. We are currently open:
● Wednesday lunch 11:15am-12:05pm, with counter service for snacks
● Friday lunch 11:30am-12:15pm, with counter service for snacks
● Friday fruito 1:50-2:15pm, counter service for snacks only
The P&C and the School Exec will occasionally run a “Red Day” or “Principal’s Day” or organise a BBQ or other stall. These dates are advertised via the Facebook page and School Zine, and by a note home from school. During those events the regular Canteen Menu is unavailable.
WHERE CAN I FIND THE CANTEEN MENU?
Paper copies are kept in the school office, or you can find the menu online via:· our Facebook page: Canteen HEPS https://www.facebook.com/groups/276764249508328
Our My School Tuckshop: https://myschoolconnect.com.au/
We are an accredited NSW Healthy Canteen, which means over ¾ of our menu is rated as Everyday Food; all packaged food has a health star rating of 3.5 or above; and we don’t have sugar-sweetened drinks. For more information, you can head to https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/heal/Pages/food-drink-criteria.aspx.

WHAT ABOUT COUNTER SERVICE?
Students can use cash to purchase snacks, drinks, and frozen items from the menu during lunch on Wednesday and Friday, and at fruito on Friday.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
Volunteers are always needed! The children love to see their parents or grandparents in the Canteen, and it is a great way to become involved in the life of the school.
Our canteen remains open for our students because of the parents (and grandparents and friends) who give their time. The canteen needs a roster supervisor, and one to two parents (or grandparent and friends!) to operate each shift. You can help by donating your time, once a week, once a term, or even once a year. Your support is greatly appreciated.
If you would like to volunteer, we can organise a buddy shift with one of our volunteers to help you learn the ropes! Written and video instructions are also available.
Follow the Facebook page ‘Canteen HEPS’ for information about the menu, seasonal specials, and volunteering, and to Direct Message the Canteen supervisor, Laura Stefani.
