Here is some useful information to help you to navigate our library.
The library is an integral part of the learning programs in our school. It is the centre for teaching and learning information skills and for recreational reading. It also provides recreational resources i.e. games, puzzles and computers to use at lunchtime.
Mrs Gander is the Teacher-Librarian.
At present the library is open on Tuesday ,Wednesday and Thursday. The children may come in for rest and relaxation during the second half of lunch time.
All children are encouraged to borrow every week. Up to 6 items may be borrowed, including 1 DVD, CD or pop-up book. Children from Kinder to Year 4 are encouraged to use library bags.
If a book is known to be lost, please let us know so we can replace it. If a book is damaged please send it back to school so we can repair it.
Each year we hold two book fairs. The first is held to coincide with our children's book council, book week celebrations and the second at the end of the year to help with Christmas shopping.
Book week is usually celebrated with a character parade, an author or illustrator visit and trivia in the playground.
