At Heathcote East PS on Friday , classes recognised Earth Hour for one hour by turning off lights, fans, air conditioners and technology. Students also participated in activities to learn more about Earth hour.
Millions of people from over 190 countries across the world take part in this global initiative to show their support for our planet. Each year, people use Earth Hour to turn off their lights and transform streets and homes into places of darkness to draw attention to the climate crisis.
Earth Hour takes place at 8:30pm on Saturday, 22 March.
